Kate Hemenway: Paint by Numbers – Death Maps at McGill Branch
January 13 – March 16
Sometimes what our lives are like is a matter of luck. These paintings show how twelve different countries have different luck. All the paintings have green bean shapes; some lighter green than others. Countries that have lots of light green bean shapes have lots of people who die when they are young. The countries with lots of dark green shapes have lots of people who live to old age.
