Ice Rinks

Bill Copeland Arena

A state-of-the-art facility, the Bill Copeland Sports Centre that has been hailed as a model for other community sport centres. Spacious, stylish and filled with natural light, it defies the usual image we have of a hockey arena – and that's because it's much more than an arena. Visitors are often struck by the executive-style appointments, the elegant interior design and the versatility of the building

The exceptional acoustic, lighting and sound systems make it ideal for not only large sporting events but also for concerts and graduation ceremonies. The centre’s seminar rooms can accommodate both small and large crowds, and are equipped with everything you need for a productive meeting.

Burnaby 8 Rinks

Burnaby 8 Rinks is a full service, multi-sport ice centre offering seven ice sheets and an indoor turf field. Six ice-sheets can be used for ice hockey, figure skating, sledge hockey and short-track speed skating. The seventh ice-sheet is dedicated to figure skating. Burnaby 8 Rinks is more than just an ice rink offering a full-service restaurant and lounge, a retail hockey and soccer store – it’s also the official home of the Skate Canada BC Centre of Excellence. Under the direction of Joanne McLeod, the Skate Canada BC Centre of Excellence is home to World and Olympic figure skating competitors and National and International Champions, including Emmanuel Sandhu. Burnaby 8 Rinks is also the official practice facility for the Vancouver Canucks NHL Hockey Team.
