Burnaby Village Museum

Transport yourself to the 1920s. A visit to the Burnaby Village Museum is a step back in time to 1920s. Experience life as it might have been in Burnaby. Self-guided tours let you explore the farmhouse and village at your own pace! Period-costumed interpreters welcome guests into the various homes, businesses and shops of a traditional village along the BC Electric Railway tram line. An exciting must for every visitor is a whirl on the fully restored historic 1912 CW Parker Carousel. Rides are accompanied by music from a grand 1925 Wurlitzer organ. Amenities include an ice cream parlour that also offers a menu for light meals and snacks, picnic tables, and a gift shop.  


Capilano Suspension Bridge

Breathtakingly suspended 230 feet above and 450 feet across Capilano River, Capilano Suspension Bridge takes you to towering evergreens, serene trails and our award winning attraction, Treetops Adventure. This walk takes you high above the forest floor for a thrilling encounter with the very heart of the forest. A guided nature walk reveals the mysteries of the forest and stunning views of the canyon. First Nations legends are woven, beaded, carved and shared with guests at the Big House Cultural Center. Beautiful gardens skirt colorful totem poles. Voices from the past at the Story Centre mingle with the sounds of nature and live seasonal entertainment. Fabulous Canadian shopping and cuisine round out this one-of-a-kind West Coast experience. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Step back in time to 15th Century China at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. The first of its kind outside of China, the Garden offers a glimpse into life as a Chinese scholar during the Ming dynasty. Scholars lived and worked in their gardens, sharing these enchanting spaces with friends and family of all ages. Like any home, a scholar's garden was filled with energy, but also offered quiet moments for contemplation. Come experience a "window to another world" at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, named as one of 1,000 Places to See before You Die.

Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is Vancouver’s most visited four-season attraction. Panoramic views of the city, oceans and mountains unfold as the Skyride, North America’s largest aerial tram system, whisks visitors to the mountaintop, 3,700’ above the city. Harbour Cruises

Get onboard with Harbour Cruises & Events for a unique Vancouver experience. Enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline, the surrounding Coastal Mountain range and many of the area’s most famous landmarks. With daily cruises around Vancouver’s inner harbour, a luncheon cruise up the secluded Indian Arm, and the ever popular Sunset Dinner Cruise, Harbour Cruises offers a relaxing sightseeing adventure for everyone. Hell's Gate Airtram

Located in British Columbia's supernatural interior, Hell's Gate is nature at it's most magnificent. At peak spring levels, over 200 million gallons of water surge through this 35 metre (110 ft) wide gorge. That is twice the volume of Niagara Falls!

With the help of man's creativity, an aerial tramway takes you on a spectacular ride high above the location where pages of history have been written. From Simon Fraser's death defying voyage to the great Fraser Canyon battle during the Gold Rush and finally, the devastating slide that occured during the construction of the Canadian National Railway. You will stand in the midst of it all after a gentle 500 ft descent from highway level to river level on board the tramway.


Imax Theatre

Swim with the most dangerous and unique creatures on the planet or take an 8,000 mile journey through India’s scorching deserts. Prepare to be shrunk down to a size of ant and grow to the great heights of dinosaurs. IMAX films provide people of all ages and backgrounds with larger-than-life-experiences that entertain, educate and inspire. Most films are 45 minutes in length. Coming in 2006: Deep Sea 3D, Mystic India, Ant Bully, Dinosaurs 3D. IMAX Theatre at Canada Place is located in the downtown Waterfront and is easily accessible by Skytrain, Bus, Westcoast Express and Seabus.


Minter Gardens

Nestled against 7000 ft. Mt. Cheam sits a work of art, a wonderful gathering of distinctly different gardens so spectacular you’ll want to linger as you take in all the different sights, sounds and fragrances. Minter Gardens is set within 32 acres of floral artistry, with 11 themed gardens designed to dazzle the senses. Two great restaurants, the Envsion and Trillium Conservatories, and the Gift & Plant Shop enhances this sensual experience. Minter Gardens is an exquisite setting for weddings and other special occasions.


Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Simon Fraser University

The Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Simon Fraser University is home to displays of Northwest Coast Native art and culture.  Extensive and detailed, these exhibits allow visitors a glimpse into the natural and harmonious way of life pursued by the First Nations people of the West Coast before the arrival of Europeans.

Pacific National Exhibition

Located just minutes from Burnaby, the Pacific National Exhibition is a year-round entertainment centre accommodating millions of guests at Playland Amusement Park from April to September and The Fair; a 17 day annual tradition in August. The PNE is also home to many concerts, tradeshows and movie shoots.

Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park

In 2006 the Aquarium, located in world famous Stanley Park is celebrating "50 amazing years" as one of North America's premier marine life centres. Don't miss the beluga whales, dolphins, and sea otters, and thousands of other fascinating creatures, from the Arctic to the Amazon. Vancouver Lookout!

The Vancouver Lookout is the BEST FIRST STOP for all visitors to the city. Take a ride up on the exterior glass elevator and arrive atop of Vancouver 45 seconds later to a spectacular 360° view of the city, the harbour, the majestic North Shore Mountains and perhaps even Vancouver Island. The friendly observation deck staff are able to provide information about all of the must-see and must-do attractions. In addition, there are information displays around the deck perimeter, which provides information about the view in front of you.
