Enjoy Chills & Thrills at the Burnaby Village Museum
This fall, experience chills, thrills and a “ghoulish” circus at the haunted Burnaby Village Museum. The historic – and mysterious – Burnaby Village Museum presents three spooky events to celebrate Halloween.
From October 22 to November 1, 8:00pm to 10:30pm – Dare to experience the ghostly Chills, Thrills & Wills Trolley Tour. This unique walking and riding experience offers up a ghastly combination of history and mystery with grisly tales and ghostly stories.
Be sure to dress warmly – though not all the chills come from the weather. Visit the village’s ominous buildings, learn about their history and unexplained phenomena… and feel their ghostly vibes for yourself! Cost is $22.40 and is for 16+ years only. For more information or to register, call 604-293-6500.
For all the brave families out there… come rain, shine or waning moon, everyone’s invited to the Haunted Village from October 28-30, 6:00pm to 9:00pm. On these spooky days, the village will be eerily transformed into a dreadful ghoulish community. Wear your costume, bring your flashlight and camera – and be prepared for a creepy good time.
As part of the festivities, children will enjoy some old-fashioned trick-or-treating at the houses of the frightful village folk. And the young and old alike are sure to be amused by the visiting – and nerve-jangling – Circus. Of course, problems ensue when the un-living come for a visit. Everyone’s invited to join the dead folk and help solve the mystery!
The Circus promises to be fun for the whole family:
- See the circus characters, ghosts, witches, stilt walkers and goblins lurking in the village streets.
- Hear the devil’s blacksmith at the anvil.
- Run by the live scarecrows.
- Marvel at the fire show, and much more.
Admission on these bone-chilling nights is $15 for adults, and $10 for children (aged two to 12 years) – and includes unlimited carousel rides for all. Tickets are available at the door.
Along with these special seasonal events, the Burnaby Village Museum offers on-going events, programs and workshops. For more information, visit www.burnabyvillagemuseum.ca or phone 604-293-6501.
