Get Into the Groove at the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival
Move to the rhythmic beats and jazzy sounds of renowned blues musicians from around the world at the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival on Saturday, August 14th at scenic Deer Lake Park.
The festival is Metro Vancouver’s premier blues and roots music event, featuring an impressive line-up of soulful performances on two stages from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. (Gates open at 1:00pm.)
Along with two-time Grammy® winner Taj Mahal, some of the other headlining artists at this year’s festival include: Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Serena Ryder, Lukas Nelson & The Promise of the Real, Colin Linden and Little Miss Higgins.
As a family-friendly event, the Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival also features a variety of children’s activities, including “Art’s Home” - a kid’s arts activity zone open from 3:30pm to 7:30pm.
This year also marks the second year of Burnaby Blues Week featuring live performances at participating restaurants, lounges and pubs throughout Burnaby. Enjoy live music from the likes of Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne, James Rogers, Incognito and more. Find a participating venue near you.
