Art Shows & Heritage Christmas Craft Fair at the Burnaby Arts Council
The Burnaby Arts Council features both art exhibits as well as the Heritage Christmas Craft Fair - an annual favourite. From now until Oct. 31st, the Burnaby Arts Council (BAC) presents the work of Expressive Quartet: Diaconu Family Art Show Opening.
Gabriela Diaconu’s paintings depict a large area of subjects, though her main interest lies in painting the majestic Canadian landscape. In 2009, Diaconu was honoured with the People’s Choices Award at The Celebration of Spring show at Deer Lake Gallery.
She has earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts from Bucharest, Romania. Her husband, Dan, is also interested in painting, drawing and photography, and works as an architect and associate for a progressive Vancouver-based architectural company. Their two children, George and Adina, have been studying at UBC.
For more information, visit their website at www.artshock.com or visit the Burnaby Arts Council.
On Nov. 6th, BAC presents the gallery opening for the Keayes/Kobrehel Show, which will run through Nov. 28th. More information on this exhibit will soon be available on the Burnaby Arts Council website.
