Vaudeville & More at the Burnaby Village Museum
The Zany Crazy Vaudevillian Days of summer are back for another season at the Burnaby Village Museum!
Presented by Footlight Theatre, this classic Vaudeville show is one of the Village’s most popular attractions – and promises to be a rousing good time for the whole family.
This year’s show is full of classic Vaudevillian songs from the early 1900s that you’ll find yourself merrily singing along to. Of course, the show is also spiced with plenty of comedy that will not only keep you laughing in the aisles but – true to Vaudeville style – will also make you groan (in good humour, naturally).
The Vaudeville show is appropriate for all ages, and will run Sunday afternoons and holidays from Father’s Day to Labour Day. Performances will be at 1:00pm, 2:00pm and 3:00pm; the show is included with museum gate admission.
Bravo! Burnaby at the Burnaby Village Museum
There are special tinsmith demonstrations on both Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30, 11am -4:30pm. Traditionally, tinsmiths would make lamps, gridirons, ladles, storage containers, stove pipes and even cookie cutters. Come see a guillotine, a crimper and a break being used. These demonstrations add to the museum’s 2010 theme – Tools of the Trade. On site exhibits, displays and demonstrations highlight the lives, skills, and tools of tradespeople in the 1920s.
Party at the Burnaby Village Museum
