In 1884, Daniel Paul Schreber heard a crackling in the wall of his bedroom that became so noticeable he could no longer sleep. In 2004, Candelario Andrade left his home in Mexico and flew towards a new life. At the dawn of the millennium, Camille Gingras came back home as a last resort. Part travelogue, part theatrical performance, A Last Resort embarks on a luminous voyage into the dark side of humanity’s increasingly tenuous dreams of paradise.

Can’t keep a secret? We can’t either. And we’re about to go viral! The Shadbolt Centre has commissioned six multi-talented, multi-disciplined performers to create 15-minute pieces about the nature of secrets and what occurs when they can no longer be contained. Set in the intimate and interactive atmosphere of the Studio Theatre, there’s no telling what will happen but it is sure to be combustible. We’re bustin’ out all over and you won’t want to miss the truth – and truthiness! – in the telling.
