Enjoy Great Entertainment, Music and Comedy at the Shadbolt Centre

This spring, the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts presents a wide range of engaging performances – from delightful musicals and quirky comedies to classical opera and much more.
Here are just a few of the upcoming performances at the Shadbolt Centre:

April 15-18, Lorelei – By the composer of Gypsy and Funny Girl, Lorelei is an entertaining and re-written version of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  This charming musical features many of the hit songs from the 1949 original, such as “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” and “Bye, Bye Baby” – as well as other new songs added in this 1974 version.

April 22-25, Life Savers – As an English Language World Premiere Production, Life Savers is the compelling story of a 35-year-old woman named France who is imprisoned for a murder she does not remember committing.  This complicated situation draws her large and highly dysfunctional family back into her life, and the result is both arresting and hilarious.  Life Savers poignantly captures the everyday tragedy of words that are left unsaid.

April 26, Opera on a Sunday Afternoon - Enjoy the magical sounds of the Burnaby Lyric Opera as they present their third concert in this four-part series.
