5 Things to Do with Mom on Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there.

You’ve been there for us through thick and thin, the good and the bad, and yes, even those lovely teenage years.  So here’s hoping you get breakfast in bed, a wonderful dinner at your favorite restaurant, and treated like the queen that you are.

Still not sure what to do for mom? I’ve rounded up 5 things to do in Burnaby with mom this Mother’s Day.  From tasty brunches, to outdoor family activities, I’ve got you covered with the perfect ways to thank her.  Or if mom’s reading this..leave the post open on the computer for your kids to read! ;)

  1. Indulge in a tasty Mother’s Day Brunch

Food in Burnaby is diverse and delicious, and there’s so many great options to choose from.  This Mother’s Day I suggest you try brunch at Reflect Social Dining + Lounge, Hart House Restaurant, or EBO.

  1. Stroll through the Park

Burnaby has over 158 parks that range from pocket-sized community spots to vast landscapes that feature a mix of rolling grasslands, dense forest, secret ravines and waterfront beaches and trails.  My personal favourites are Central Park, Deer Lake Park and Barnet Marine Park.

  1. Take Her Shopping

What mom doesn’t love shopping?  Take mom on a shopping trip to BC’s largest mall Metropolis at Metrotown, or take a stroll through Burnaby Heights and stop for a coffee and chocolate at Chez Christophe.

  1. Enjoy the Great Outdoors

Is she an outdoor enthusiast? Spend the day adventuring outside.  Hike a trail at Burnaby Mountain, rent a canoe on Deer Lake Park, or take your kayak to Barnet Marine Park and paddle up the Burrard Inlet.

  1. Get Pampered

She’s worked hard, let her be pampered.  Take in a relaxing massage at Fortius Sport & Health – a state- of-the-art facility in Burnaby designed to optimize your health and performance.

Here’s wishing you find the perfect way to thank mom this Mother’s Day, whether she wants to spend the day relaxing alone, with her friends, with her partner, or with her whole family.
